As a new chiropractic patient you will fill out a full history form. Once the doctor reviews your history forms, the doctor will meet with you to discuss your health concerns and determine if you are a chiropractic candidate. The purpose of the consultation is to determine if chiropractic care will benefit you and your health goals. If it is determined that chiropractic is for you, a full and thorough examination will be performed to help determine the cause of your health problem.
The examination includes physical, neurologic, orthopedic, and chiropractic tests. If it is necessary, an x-ray will be ordered. Treatment will start on your first day.
By this time, there would have been sufficient time to look over all of the findings from the history, exam, and possibly the x-ray. We would then recommend the right treatment plan for you to help achieve your desired outcome.
We will go over your exam and x-ray findings. We also explain exactly what is going on with your body and spine, and let you know how chiropractic can help you. Feel free to ask any questions as we pride ourselves on transparency and want to make sure you have all the information about your health.
You might be wondering if every visit will be timely like the first two. The answer is no! Your typical visit will be efficient and straight to the point.
We also know what your spine looks like from the x-ray findings, and we know what your spine feels like from the extensive exams. This helps us with managing your time at the office as you are getting adjusted so you get the most out of your visit every time.
Like braces, each visit builds on the one before it. Missing your appointment could mean losing the necessary momentum required to making the changes in your spine.
Time is valuable and we make sure to respect your time as we would appreciate the same.
